MACH73B — Intermediate Machining Methods II

Units: 3 Hours: 18 hours LEC; 108 hours LAB Grade Options: Letter Grade Term Typically Every spring term This course is designed to provide the student with a greater understanding of the theory and application of machine tool operations. Subjects include metal fabrication using manually operated lathes, milling machines, saws, grinders, and presses. In addition to these, heat treating, dimensional inspection, fixturing, and print reading will be covered. Students will also use ASME Y14.5 design standards to fabricate and inspect parts.
