Units: 1-4 Hours: 48-216 hours WORK EXPERIENCE Grade Options: Pass/No Pass Term Typically Upon student request Limitations on Enrollment: Students must enroll in a minimum of one course at San Joaquin Delta College in a discipline related to their work experience. This course may be taken concurrently or may have been taken in the semester immediately prior. Advisories: BIM 38 with a grade of “C” or better, or demonstrated competency in appropriate technology skills, such as by completion of similar courses; by transfer credit course work; by workplace substantiation; by Microsoft Certification; or by other computer industry certification; LAW 5 Law Office Technology, Computer Use, and Legal Document Production and LAW 6 Advanced Electronic Legal Research and Technology with a grade “C” This course is designed for the student participating in an occupational internship in a law-related occupation through the Paralegal/Legal Assistant program, which facilitates work experience in law, paralegal, or legal research under the supervision of the instructor and agency personnel. Application and development of paralegal skills and job competencies is emphasized.
