HORT26 — Introduction to Urban Forestry

Units: 3 Hours: 36 hours LEC; 54 hours LAB Grade Options: Letter Grade or Inc. Term Typically Every spring term This course covers the principles of urban forestry and landscape tree care, as well as an introduction to arboriculture careers. Topics will include: tree biology, tree identification, tree health threats, soils, nutrition, planting, climbing, pruning, safety practices, tree care tools equipment. This course is for any student interested in learning about landscape tree care and is required for the Landscape Arborist Certificate. (CSU)
