ESL9088 — Noncredit Advanced College Reading/Writing for Multilingual Students I

Units: 0 Hours: 90 hours LEC Grade Options: Pass/No Pass Advisories: ESL 9085 with a grade of “P.” Students are strongly advised to enroll concurrently in the ESL reading/writing course of the appropriate level ( ESL 9080 , ESL 9083 , or ESL 9086 ) based on placement exam scores and multiple measures. In addition, students are strongly advised to enroll concurrently in the ESL grammar course of the appropriate level ( ESL 9087 ). This noncredit course enhances the student’s foundation in English in preparation for employment or for beginning a vocational or academic program. It focuses on reading strategies, fluency, advanced vocabulary, comprehension, and essay writing. Noncredit courses may be repeated.
