ENGR10 — Surveying

Units: 3.5 Hours: 36 hours LEC; 81 hours LAB Grade Options: Letter Grade Term Typically Every fall term This course applies theory and principles of plane surveying: office computations and design; operation of surveying field equipment; and production of engineering plans/maps. Topics include distances, angles, and directions; differential leveling; traversing; property/boundary surveys; topographic surveys/mappings; volume/earthwork; horizontal and vertical curves; land description techniques; and GPS. Extensive fieldwork using tapes, levels, transits, theodolites, total stations, and GPS will occur. (CSU, C-ID ENGR 180)
