ENGL35 — Chicano Literature

Units: 3 Hours: 54 hours LEC Grade Options: Letter Grade General Education: Delta Area 3; Cal-GETC Area 3B Term Typically Every term This course is designed to offer a critical survey of the literary periods of Chicano Literature from the Pre-Columbian, Hispanic, Mexican, Transition, Interaction, and the Chicano movement, offering a variety of topics including literary history (including issues of canonicity and reception), bilingualism and literature, ethnicity and race, gender and sexuality, class, and nationality.
