Units: 3 Hours: 54 hours LEC Grade Options: Letter Grade Term Typically Every term This course is an introduction to the Linux and UNIX operating systems primarily focused on command line usage. It covers history, kernel, file systems, shells, command-line tools, and user utilities. It also introduces students to the fundamentals of shell programming, processes, communications, and basic security. (CSU)
