BUS68V — Internship: Pathway to Law Program

Units: 1-4 Hours: 48-216 hours WORK EXPERIENCE Grade Options: Pass/No Pass Term Typically Upon student request Limitations on Enrollment: Students must enroll in a minimum of one course at San Joaquin Delta College in a discipline related to their work experience. This course may be taken concurrently or may have been taken in the semester immediately prior. This course is designed for the student participating in an occupational internship in a law-related occupation through the Pathway to Law program. Application of discipline-related skills and knowledge of the Secretaries’ Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills (SCANS) competencies and/or the Shultz-Zedeck Lawyering Competencies (Effectiveness Factors) is emphasized. Each student is engaged in a specific research project or on-the-job learning activities under the supervision of a worksite supervisor and a college internship instructor and Pathway to Law program coordinator. Students must work a minimum of 48 hours per unit earned. To register, complete an application form available at the Occupational Work Experience (OWE) Office, Holt 140. (CSU)
