ASCI57 — Beef Cattle Science

Units: 3 Hours: 36 hours LEC; 54 hours LAB Grade Options: Letter Grade Term Typically Every fall term Advisories: ASCI 10 and ASCI 10L each with a grade of “C” or better. This course will study the principles and practices of purebred and commercial beef cattle production. Emphasis will be on the importance of breeds, breeding principles, selection, nutrition, environmental management, health, marketing and record keeping to ensure scientifically based management decisions and consumer product acceptance as applied to beef cattle.
