ANTH10L — Beginning Field Archaeology
Units: 1 Hours: 54 hours LAB Grade Options: Letter Grade This course is an introduction to archaeological field techniques. This course stresses the methods involved in identifying and investigating archaeological sites and features. It will cover survey and excavation techniques, sampling strategies, mapping and navigation, recording techniques, and recovery strategies. The course emphasizes the care and preservation of artifacts, as well as analysis of artifacts and interpretation of the cultural remains. (HBCU, UC, CSU)
