TECD 1100 - Commercial Drivers License – Class A TECD 1100 - Commercial Drivers License – Class A The Commercial Drivers’ License - Class A Course prepares students in classroom theory, backing skills, and entry-level driving skills including behind the wheel range and public road practice. Students demonstrate proficiency and competence in accordance with Federal/ State regulations, and college requirements. Semesters All Registration Restrictions: Minimum age of 18 years. Physically qualified as prescribed by the U.S. Department of Transportation; Valid D.O.T. medical card; See FMCSR Part 391.41 The Professional Truck Driving Program follows CFR 391.11(b) of the FMCSRs. This provision requires that drivers of CMVs operating in interstate commerce be able to ”read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.” Acceptance into the program may be contingent on your ability to meet the preceding criteria. Valid Class A Commercial Driver Instruction Permit (CDIP) with air brakes or CDL Class A with air brakes. Copy of motor vehicle record (MVR) for the past three years.
