ETHS 2640 - Targeted Identities: Mass Incarceration in the U.S. ETHS 2640 - Targeted Identities: Mass Incarceration in the U.S. This course examines the ways social positionalities/identities impact people’s and communities’ experiences with policing and incarceration in the U.S. An interdisciplinary approach is used to examine the criminalization of targeted communities with particular attention to BIPOC, women/femmes, LGBTQ+ individuals, youth, unhoused, and undocumented community members.
