PRNS1436 — Foundations of Nursing
PRNS 1436 - Foundations of Nursing PRNS 1436 - Foundations of Nursing 4 Credits Students in Foundations of Nursing are introduced to basic theory and nursing skills required to care for patients of both genders throughout the lifespan, with particular emphasis on the geriatric patient. Students are given the opportunity to demonstrate these skills in the laboratory setting. An introduction to the nursing process provides the student with a beginning framework for decision making. The concepts of teamwork, collaboration, safety, quality improvement, professional identity/behavior, patient-centered care, evidence based practice, and care management are introduced. 4C/2/2/0 Must be accepted as a Practical Nursing major.
