GISC 1785 - GPS Field Techniques GISC 1785 - GPS Field Techniques 3 Credits This course introduces students to GPS field techniques used to map features out in the real world with hand-held GPS devices. Students will be learn how to use Trimble GPS units to collect spatial data in the field while developing an appreciation for the theoretical underpinnings of global position systems and learning how to import and process data collected from the field. The ultimate goal of this course is to make students proficient at using hand-held GPS devices and to provide students an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of GPS. 3C/3/0/0
