EAPP 1420 - U.S. Culture EAPP 1420 - U.S. Culture 3 Credits This course explores themes in U.S. culture through authentic multimedia sources that feature diverse voices contributing to current and historical understanding. International students and newcomers to the United States learn to become active members in a diverse and democratic society as they examine U.S. cultures, the cultures of their classmates, and reflect upon their own culture and the interplay between these while collaborating in a multicultural environment. Students create projects in several genres and participate in field trips to explore U.S. values such as independence and diversity and how these values influence behaviors in school, career, and personal relationships. 3C/3/0/0 Prerequisite(s): Appropriate assessment score Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) Goal Area(s): Goal 7A/7B
