MUS 208 - Film Music MUS 208 - Film Music 3 Credit(s) Students will examine the wide variety of musical styles (classical, jazz, electronic, world, etc.) that ed define these genres and make them part of popular culture. Through watching carefully selected films that represent the history of film-making with music, students will develop a basic understanding of the evolutionary development of film music as well as how powerful the collaboration between film and music can be. It also explores the way historical events, cultural trends, and/or technical inventions affected the collaboration between film and music. No prior knowledge of music is necessary. Fulfills cultural literacy requirement within the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer degree. Course Learning
