ART 260 - Jewelry and Metalsmithing IV ART 260 - Jewelry and Metalsmithing IV 3 Credit(s) They choose the tools and techniques to explore in depth during the term, and they design their own assignments and choose projects (in keeping with the previous classes) that they will explore through a combination of demonstrations, studio work, and group discussions. A series of pieces will be created to exhibit/sell in the fall/Christmas sale, winter/Valentine’s Day sale, or the spring/student exhibit. The course continues to prepare students to create jewelry/metal objects to exhibit/sell by furthering their design awareness; develop step-by-step metals techniques and craftsmanship skills, and explore three-dimensional form as functional or wearable art.
