ART 234 - Figure Drawing I ART 234 - Figure Drawing I 3 Credit(s) Course Description: Introduces techniques and process in drawing the figure from life. This course provides a framework for the development of self-expression for beginning students, and presents advanced students with problem-solving experiences appropriate to issues in contemporary art. Students draw almost exclusively from live models, both nude and draped, using a range of materials and formats. Through direct observation, anatomical study, historical information and media experimentation, students develop their drawing skills and increase their ability to utilize the figurative form in creative works in an historical and contemporary context.
