ECE-100 — Introduction to Early Childhood Education
This courseâ¯overviewsâ¯early childhood educationâ¯asâ¯aâ¯profession with an emphasis on developmentallyâ¯appropriate practices,â¯professionalism,â¯and historical foundations of early education.â¯Students studyâ¯program models,â¯various typesâ¯of early childhood programs, community resources, the family's role in education, diversity, as well as contemporaryâ¯trendsâ¯and issues in programs for childrenâ¯agesâ¯birth through eight.â¯Students must complete fifteen (15) hours of fieldâ¯experience to successfully complete the course.
