Prerequisite: ENG 111 Co-requisite: None This course, the second in a series of two, introduces research techniques, documentation styles, and writing strategies. Emphasis is placed on analyzing information and ideas and incorporating research findings into documented writing and research projects. Students develop global competencies and skills needed for work environments that increasingly focus on global issues. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to evaluate and synthesize information from primary and secondary sources using documentation appropriate to various disciplines. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement general education core requirement in English composition. This is a Universal General Education Transfer Component (UGETC) course for Associate in Arts and Associate in Science. Upon completion of 15 credit hours of globally intensive courses, students will earn a “Scholar of Global Distinction” notation on their transcript. **Approved for Global Distinction.
