An overview of victims of crime in America, focusing on index crime victims, as well as the victim’s role in preventing or assisting crime, and the relation of the victim to the criminal justice system. Special crime victims such as missing children, abused children, the elderly, and battered women will be given attention. This course may not be transferable to a University for use towards a 4-year degree program.
