NUR 21606 - Med/Surg II NUR 21606 - Med/Surg II This course prepares nursing students to function in the role of the associate degree registered nurse, focusing on providing nursing care to adult patients with health needs related to the respiratory, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, liver/biliary, endocrine, and neurological systems, as well as diabetes management. Growth and developmental concepts are further explored, with emphasis on young and middle-aged adult. The theory component introduces the nursing process, the Clinical Judgement Measurement Model (CJMM), communication and collaboration skills, technology integration, teaching and learning strategies, and the application of legal and ethical principles grounded in evidence-based practice.
