FOR 4 — Forest Ecosystems
The forest community is used as a model to discuss the role of ecology in forest management. Students will become familiar with basic biological concepts which are the building blocks for understanding forest ecosystems. Students will gain a better understanding of biological processes and organization, the physical environment, and ecological processes such as: nutrient cycling, succession, natural selection, and application of the scientific method.
