CELA 315 — Competency-Based Education
Competency-based education (CBE) offers an innovative approach to teaching and learning that focuses on skills mastery or proficiency rather than time spent in the classroom. This professional development course is designed for educators who want to build foundational knowledge and applied skills in creating, implementing, and assessing CBE curriculum modules. Participants will gain fluency in curriculum development tools, and principles of andragogy and assessment for direct assessment programs. Participants will leave this course with a comprehensive understanding of CBE and the tools to transform educational practices.
