(2 Credits) Lecture: 1 hour Laboratory: 2 hours Total: 3 hours per week Introduces history of welding processes. Covers types of equipment, and assembly of units. Stresses welding procedures such as fusion, non-fusion, and cutting oxyacetylene. Introduces arc welding. Emphasizes procedures in the use of tools and equipment. An additional career and technical education course-specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only. (Course fees do not apply to dual enrollment CTE courses taught at local high schools.)
