WEL100 — Fundamentals of Welding

(3 Credits) Lecture: 2 hours per week Laboratory: 3 hours per week Introduces arc and oxyfuel welding and cutting. Provides fundamental principles of joining ferrous and non-ferrous metals, welding and cutting processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures with emphasis upon welding and cutting procedures. An additional career and technical education course-specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only. (Course fees do not apply to dual enrollment CTE courses taught at local high schools.)
