(3 Credits) Lecture: 2 hours Laboratory: 3 - 6 hours Total: 5 - 8 hours per week Introduces basic medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, components of health care delivery and clinical laboratory structure. Teaches techniques of specimen collection, specimen handling, and patient interactions. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $50.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $25.00 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only. (Course fees do not apply to dual enrollment CTE courses taught at local high schools).
