EMS111 — Emergency Medical Technician
(7 Credits) Lecture: 5 hours Laboratory: 4 hours Total: 9 hours per week Prepares student for certification as a Virginia and National Registry EMT. Focuses on all aspects of pre-hospital basic life support as defined by the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services curriculum for Emergency Medicine Technician. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $50.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $25.00 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only. (Course fees do not apply to dual enrollment CTE courses taught at local high schools). Prerequisite(s): EMS 100 /equivalent
