DSL126 — Diesel Engine Reconditioning
(6 Credits) Lecture: 3 hours Laboratory: 6 hours Total: 9 hours per week Provides basic knowledge of the construction, design, and application of selected modern diesel engines and their components. Covers induction and exhaust systems, cooling and lubricating systems, and fuel injection and governing systems. Provides opportunity to disassemble, inspect, recondition, reassemble, and test selected engines. An additional career and technical education course-specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only. (Course fees do not apply to dual enrollment CTE courses taught at local high schools.)
