Course ID 135466 Introduces the study of the surgical process, including aspects of the operating room environment. Highlights preparing the patient for surgery, including transporting, positioning and special preparation procedures. Presents physical, psychological and spiritual needs of the patient including ethical and legal rights of the patient. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week. Corequisite: SUR 145
