Lecture Hour(s): 5 Normal anatomy and physiology of each body system is reviewed. Conditions that disrupt homeostasis are examined. Conditions considered are both acquired and congenital. Diagnostic methods, management, treatment modalities and prognosis are discussed. Classifications of drugs are introduced. A general understanding of the actions; absorption, metabolism and excretion; and reasons for use of various groups of pharmacologic agents are introduced.
