WOO271 — Hunter Education Instructor Training
This course offers training in the knowledge and skills necessary to become certified as a volunteer Kansas Hunter Education Instructor through the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks. Students will learn how to teach wildlife conservation, safe gun handling, and the role of hunting in conservation. This course will focus heavily on developing students’ presentation skills using the lecture format, training aids, electronic media and internet instruction. Students must be at least 18-years-old and pass a criminal background check to receive the certification. Emphasis will be placed on firearms safety and adherence to all state and federal regulations. Students are expected to have their Hunter Education Certification prior to this course.
