The purpose of this course is to assist students in successful completion of MTH176 Contemporary Math. Topics covered include any basic mathematics helpful in fostering a deeper understanding of basic skills needed to be successful in MTH176 Contemporary Math, which is a Kansas Systemwide Transfer (KRSN) course. Additional topics covered include compatibility with MTH176 properties of and operations with numbers systems, basic equation solving, consumer math, and applications of geometry. This course does not meet requirements for a degree program. The purpose of this course is to assist students in successful completion of MTH178 College Algebra. Topics covered include any Pre-Algebra mathematics helpful in fostering a deeper understanding of basic skills needed to be successful in MTH178 College Algebra, which is a Kansas Systemwide Transfer (KRSN) course. Additional topics covered in compatibility with MTH178 include algebraic COURSE NUMBER COURSE TITLE CREDIT HOURS functions and their graphs, set theory, complex numbers, systems of equations, etc. This course does not meet requirements for a degree program.
