HOC101 — Nurse Aide I 5 Student must complete and pass all theory, lab, and clinical
requirements for state certification exam eligibility. TOTAL PROGRAM HOURS 5 The Medication Aide program is designed to train healthcare professionals in the safe and accurate administration of medications in various healthcare settings such as nursing homes, clinics and assisted living facilities. Students will learn about medicati on classifications, dosage calculations, drug interactions, and proper medication storage and handling. The course is taught in a hybrid format that includes online learning combined with an in-person clinical rotation that provides for hands-on training. Students must supply their own transportation to and from the clinical sites. Upon completion of the course, students will be eligible to take the state Medication Aide certification exam.
