This course offers basic microeconomic theory and applications to current problems of supply and demand and determination of wages, rent, interest, and profits. International economic policies and other economic systems are analyzed briefly. This course is required of business degree majors, and will be helpful to students in other majors, especially social science majors. Prerequisite: a) ACT Mathematics Placement Score of 20 or higher or b) Completion of Statistics or c) permission of instructor. Sophomore standing is recommended.
