Effective Fall 2025 Certificate Academic Degree Map COMMERCIAL DRIVER’S LICENSE 2025-2026 This program provides classroom training as well as driving practice. The classroom theory provides training in basic operations, safety procedures, advanced driving practices, vehicle systems and reporting malfunctions, for Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) to operate a commercial vehicle and preparation to complete and pass the written test to obtain a Class A CDL learner’s permit. The driving portion of the program provides instruction and driving practice in a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) to meet the requirements to test for a Commercial Driver’s License. Note: students must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid Kansas Driver’s License (out of state students contact the instructor). Students must have successfully completed CDL101 Theory, passed the written test, and received a learner’s permit prior to taking CDL102 Driving. There is an extra fee involved in the driving portion. 1st Semester Notes
