This course is an introduction to the ways in which businesses in the United States are organized and managed so as to earn a profit by satisfying the wants of the people. Included is a study of economic systems, ownership, organization and management, marketing, personnel, small business, entrepreneurship, franchises, accounting and international business. This course serves as a foundation for further business study. Business majors should take this course during their first semester. Recommended for others as a part of the core curriculum.
