SPN 1130 - First Year Spanish I SPN 1130 - First Year Spanish I 5 hours Lecture, 5 credits Lower-Division College Credit AA Elective: Yes This is a beginning course in the Spanish language and culture and incorporates extensive vocabulary through the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills within the context of various Spanish cultural experiences. A communicative approach to learning a language is the focus; students are encouraged to become involved with the language on a daily basis. This course is also in Honors format.
