FIL 1000 - Introduction to Film FIL 1000 - Introduction to Film 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit AA Elective: Yes This course provides an introduction to film studies and cinema. While students study the technical aspects of films, the emphasis of the course is film appreciation. This course increases students’ visual literacy, acquaints students with the history of cinema, provides students with the vocabulary and methods to critically analyze films, and nurtures an appreciation of cinema.
