CAI 2003C - Artificial Intelligence for Cybersecurity CAI 2003C - Artificial Intelligence for Cybersecurity 3 hours Lecture, 1 hour Lab, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit This introductory course in AI and Machine Learning (ML) is infused with a cybersecurity perspective that presents the popular and successful AI approaches and models that can be used to detect potential attacks and protect corporate systems. The curriculum canvases the roles of ML and neural networks (NNs), provides an in-depth study of cybersecurity, and demonstrates processes to infuse AI capabilities when building smart defensive mechanisms. Through course activities, the student applies strategies across a variety of applications, including spam filter, network intrusion detection, botnet detection, and secure-authentication tools.
