Application of the nursing process and expansion on the concepts of client, health, environment and nurse, with emphasis on caring for adult clients with common health alterations. Expansion of behaviors that are the basis of effective nursing practice including safe practitioner, effective communicator, manager and teacher, a culturally competent and caring healthcare provider, and professional and ethical issues of being a nurse. Also includes additional application of theory in the college laboratory and the clinical setting in acute care environments. Course Learning
