2 , 1.5 lecture periods .75 lab periods Introduction to skills necessary to assess, extricate, and care for victims of crash incidents. Includes exposure to scene management skills to include size-up, disentanglement, victim stabilization for single and multi-victim situations, hazardous materials incidents, integration of local emergency medical services (EMS) for patient assessment and management, and standard operating procedures to selected victim scenarios.
