3 , 3 lecture periods 0 lab periods Techniques in pre-hospital emergency care appropriate to the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Scope of Practice. Includes identifying signs and symptoms associated with illness and traumatic injuries. Also includes intervention used in managing patient and transfer of patient to higher level medical authority. Information: This course will prepare those wishing to enroll in EMT 100 . Covers the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) curriculum for EMR/EMT as well as the National Registry Practical portion of EMR.
