AUT126 — Engine Performance and Driveability Troubleshooting
7 , 3 lecture period 6 lab periods Diagnosis and repair of On-board Diagnostics Generation One (OBDI) and Two (OBDII) systems. Includes personal and environmental safety, general engine, computerized engine controls, ignition system, fuel, air induction, and exhaust systems, emissions control systems, and engine related service. Demonstrate knowledge of engine mechanical systems and perform diagnosis on them. Demonstrate knowledge of fuel injection systems and perform diagnosis on them. Demonstrate knowledge of ignition systems and perform diagnosis on them. Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency with the Snap-On Verus Pro Scanner and service and obtain an NC3 certification. Demonstrate knowledge of engine emission systems and perform diagnosis on them. Demonstrate knowledge on forced induction systems and perform diagnosis on them.
