6 , 4.5 lec 2.25 lab periods Overview of the evolution of modern avionics. Includes the role and responsibilities of the avionics technician. Also includes: electrical safety; aircraft power distribution systems; data bus concepts; signal amplification; RF physics and radio theory; ESD and test equipment; and digital logic applications.
