DEA 0740 — Introduction to Dental Assisting

This is course designed to introduce the role and function of the dental assistant as a member of the health care delivery team. Topics include the history and development of dentistry; legal and ethical responsibilities; communication and interpersonal relationships; and concepts of wellness and disease. Basic concepts of infection control are also included.
