AMT 0709C - Aviation Maintenance Technology General II AMT 0709C - Aviation Maintenance Technology General II Emphasis is on identification and selection of aircraft hardware, fabrication and inspection of flexible and rigid fluid lines, and safety wiring on bolts and turnbuckles. Upon completion, students should be able to use precision measuring tools, fabricate and install rigid and flexible fluid lines, select, and identify proper aircraft hardware, properly perform safety wiring on bolts and turnbuckles, complete required FAA maintenance forms and records and inspection reports, select and use FAA and manufacturer’s aircraft specifications, data sheets, manuals, publications, and related material, identify heat treatment process, select fuels, identify, and select cleaning materials and perform aircraft cleaning, handle, secure, and perform engine start-up of aircraft or trainer, compute weight & balance, and perform non-destructive testing.
