SURG1410 — Surgical Technology & Patient Care I
The course introduces principles, techniques and issues in the operating room environment. Topics include surgical team practice, patient care concepts and practice with an emphasis on operating room furniture, instrumentation, equipment and supplies, establishing and maintaining a sterile field, and skills necessary for preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative case management. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 1004
