DWP1915 — Design I & Digital Portfolio

This course is a study of visual communications theory, creative problem-solving techniques, and concepts for graphic design to expand the concepts and techniques of visual communication. The focus is on typography, page layout, grid structure, production requirements, design history, and the design problem-solving process. The course also incorporates the development of a digital student design portfolio and interactive review by design professional mentors. Individual and small group projects will be required. Prerequisite(s): DWP 1010 and DWP 1030 and DWP 1040 and ENGL 1010 Corequisite(s): DWP 1050 and DWP 1060
