The Child Development Instructional Assistant curriculum provides students with the necessary skills to seek employment as assistants in instructional programs for young children. Opportunities are available for work with children in a variety of settings including: homes, schools, and public or private agencies concerned with the development and welfare of young children. The program focuses on child psychology, curriculum planning, developmentally appropriate practices, safety, anti-bias environment, and provides practical experience.
